A Level trip Tuesday 24th February



Meet outside the entrance of the new  Photographers Gallery 16 - 18 Ramilles Street at 10.45am prompt. We have a guided talk around the Deutsche Borse Photography Prize show at 11am.
Ramilles Street is a narrow street off Oxford St. Come out of Oxford St. tube and walk towards Tottenham Court Road, turn left into Ramilles St and The Photographers Gallery is on the left.

Taryn Simon, Paul Graham (who features in the resource pack for 'Sanctuary', Tod Papageorge and Emily Jacir - try and do some background research prior to the visit. Taryn Simon is particularly relevant to this project

Tansy Spinks to visit Year 10 in December


On friday December 5th, Tansy will be visiting the department to talk to Year 10 about her work in miniature and give the students some useful technical tips and ideas.

LUCY JUDSON - IMAGES FOR YEAR 11 'ARTISTS VISIT'






Lucy graduated from the A Level Photography course at Burntwood in 2006 achieving one of the top 10 scores in photography for A Level Photography in the country. She is now a student on the BA(Hons) Photography BA at London College of Communication.
Whilst at Burntwood, Lucy came to specialise in pinhole photography, making cameras from anything including film canisters, dustbins, a ping pong ball and even an aubergine. These images can also be found on the Macs in room 177.
